Manchester United destroys Liverpool FC.

Manchester United will host West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup after beating Liverpool 3-2 at Old Trafford.

The two sides’ league meeting a week ago disappointed many but this encounter was full of goals and the Premier League champions have now won just one of their seven games in all competitions since Christmas.

United made five changes from the team that came from behind to beat Fulham in midweek, with Dean Henderson, Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek and Marcus Rashford lining up, and David de Gea, Eric Bailly, Fred, Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes dropping out.

Mo Salah opened the scoring in the first half but Mason Greenwood ensured there was nothing between the two sides at the break as he converted coolly from Marcus Rashford’s pick-out.

Greenwood turned provider and Rashford turned scorer after the break, putting United in front before Salah equalised. United called for Bruno Fernandes off the bench and the Portuguese scored a sumptuous free-kick to book a fifth-round meeting with West Ham.
